Business Forum “Navoi Region – Sindh Province” Held in Karachi

The forum was attended by executives of leading Pakistani companies, representatives of the business community, and prominent entrepreneurs operating in the fields of pharmaceuticals, construction materials production, leather and wool processing, as well as the textile and food industries.
In his speech, Uzbekistan’s Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev emphasized the importance of further strengthening economic ties between the two countries, particularly between Navoi Region and Sindh Province. Priority areas for the development of interregional cooperation were also outlined.
Among the promising areas of cooperation highlighted were agriculture and the agro-industrial sector, textile and leather industries, renewable energy, pharmaceuticals, tourism, logistics and transport infrastructure, warehousing, supply chains, and the development of regional connectivity.
The khokim of Navoi Region, Normat Tursunov, spoke about the region’s economic potential, its industrial base, and investment climate, inviting representatives of Pakistan’s business community to invest in the region and implement mutually beneficial joint projects.
Following this, representatives of the Navoi Region administration delivered a presentation on the region’s trade, economic, investment, and tourism potential. Information was provided on the favorable conditions created for foreign investors in free industrial zones, as well as existing opportunities and promising projects in pharmaceuticals, leather and wool processing, agriculture and food industry, textiles, and construction materials production.
During the event, representatives of Pakistani business circles asked a number of questions regarding investment procedures, customs clearance, investment guarantees, sources of financing, logistics solutions, the legal framework, and business regulation mechanisms, to which detailed answers were provided.
Within the framework of the forum, negotiations between the business communities of the two countries were organized in G2B and B2B formats.
As a result of the negotiations, a number of agreements were reached on establishing industrial cooperation, expanding the production of export-oriented goods, and implementing joint investment projects.
