Further strengthening of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the UAE discussed

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the United Arab Emirates.

At the beginning of the conversation, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan warmly congratulated the President of Uzbekistan on his birthday, wishing him good health, family well-being, and continued success in his state activities.

The two sides discussed further strengthening the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates.

They noted with satisfaction the successful implementation of the agreements reached during the President of Uzbekistan's high-level visit to the UAE in January this year.

Since the beginning of the year, bilateral trade has continued to grow dynamically, the total portfolio of joint projects has exceeded $20 billion, and more than 400 joint ventures are now operating. Starting in August, Etihad Airways will launch daily flights between Abu Dhabi and Tashkent.

The sides emphasized the importance of maintaining close dialogue and accelerating the implementation of major joint projects.

They also exchanged views on current issues on the regional agenda.
