A delegation of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs visited Germany
On February 11, the delegation of the Republic of Uzbekistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov visited the city of Berlin, Germany.
As part of visit, a productive meeting took place with the Federal President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, during which strengthening of partnerships and the development of regional cooperation were discussed.
On behalf of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, greetings were conveyed and gratitude was expressed for Germany's continued support for Central Asia.
Germany's important role in shaping the European Union's policy towards the region, especially through initiatives such as the EU Strategy for Central Asia. It was emphasized that bilateral relations continue to develop, with specific plans for cooperation in the areas of green development, energy and education. A confident expectation was expressed that relations between Uzbekistan and Germany will continue to develop with strong positive dynamics in all directions.
On the same day, the first ministerial meeting in the “Central Asia - Germany” format was held in Berlin. The launch of this mechanism was considered an important milestone, giving the partnership a more systematic and practical character.
Central Asia was described as a dynamic region in the heart of Eurasia, which is consistently strengthening its unity, economic potential and global role.
The need to increase the level of investment, technology and trade was emphasized cooperation, expanding interaction in the areas of critical raw materials, green energy, climate, transport connectivity and logistics, as well as deepening business dialogue.
We expressed confidence that the meeting will give new impetus to the strategic partnership and prepare meaningful results for the next Central Asia-Germany Summit. Thanks and appreciation were expressed to Foreign Minister Johann Wadeful and his team for the excellent organization of the ministerial meeting.
