Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan participate in the launch ceremony of new projects
Following the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon participated in the launch ceremony of major cooperation projects.

The leaders of the states initiated the execution of 10 collaborative projects.
These include establishing enterprises to produce furniture and leather goods, expanding household appliance manufacturing, constructing textile facilities in Tajikistan, developing a residential complex and commercial facilities in Tashkent, and organizing canned food production in Fergana region.
Additionally, facilities for producing dairy products in Andijan region, as well as fruit juices and metal briquettes in Surkhandarya region, were launched.
A ceremonial event was also held to name a street in New Tashkent after the city of Dushanbe.
The Presidents of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan expressed confidence that implementing the proposed projects will significantly boost the growth of trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.
