Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov had a phone conversation with Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the conversation, an update was received on the latest developments regarding the implementation of the understandings aimed at ending the recent conflict, and views were exchanged on the current regional situation.
Uzbekistan's support for continued diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions in the region was reaffirmed, and the importance of maintaining dialogue and implementing the understandings reached was underscored.
The parties also discussed further strengthening Uzbekistan–Iran bilateral relations and agreed to continue close consultations on issues of mutual interest.
