Andijan trains qualified specialists for industrial enterprises

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the technical college located in the Ipak Yuli industrial zone in Andijan region.

In Uzbekistan, alongside the establishment of new industrial enterprises, particular emphasis is placed on training qualified specialists to meet their needs. Close integration between education and production plays an important role in this process.

The Andijan-Huanya International Technical College was established for this purpose. It trains specialists in high-demand fields for textile, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering and other high-tech enterprises located in the Ipak Yuli industrial zone.

The project, financed entirely through foreign investment, has a total cost of $15 million and has created 150 new jobs.

A modern educational building designed for 5,000 students has been constructed on a four-hectare site. The next phase of the project includes the construction of a student dormitory and a laboratory building, as well as the development of a sports ground, a canteen and a green area.

A dual education system has been introduced at the technical college. Students acquire theoretical knowledge at the college, while practical training takes place at major enterprises within the industrial zone. Students gain firsthand experience of production processes, modern equipment and technologies during their studies.

The technical college began operating in June this year and currently has 210 students. By 2030, annual enrollment is planned to increase to 1,800 students, bringing the total number of students to 4,000. The number of fields of study is also expected to increase to 20.

The President inspected the facilities at the technical college and spoke with students and the investor.
