Students from Uzbekistan Participate in an International Conference in Pakistan

A meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with a group of fellow countrymen students who arrived in Islamabad to take part in an international scientific-practical conference organized at the National University of Science and Technology of Pakistan (NUST).
During the discussion, participants were given detailed information about the priority areas of state policy concerning youth in Uzbekistan. Special attention was paid to a number of important initiatives promoted by the Head of State, as well as ongoing reforms.
It was emphasized that ensuring the legal rights and interests of young compatriots studying abroad and working internationally is one of the priority directions of state policy. It was noted that today, youth serve as a key driving force in promoting innovative and social ideas, as well as advancing the country to a new level of socio-economic development.
Particular attention was given to the updated draft of the “Uzbekistan–2030” strategy, published on the portal for discussing draft legal and regulatory acts. At the core of the evolving strategy lies the main idea promoted by the Head of State — the principle that “State institutions should serve the people, not the other way around.” During the process of refining the strategy, achieved results are thoroughly analyzed, and existing challenges are carefully considered.
In addition, information was presented regarding the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Pakistani relations, the activities of the embassy, as well as agreements reached with Pakistani universities, joint educational programs and projects, and grants provided for Uzbek youth.
In turn, the students noted that their visit to Pakistan and participation in the international conference became an important platform for exchanging experiences and communicating with youth from Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and other countries.
“Our compatriots studying in Uzbekistan and Germany are taking part in the conference organized in Pakistan. We provided participants with information on comprehensive youth support in Uzbekistan, expanding educational opportunities, and benefits for studying abroad. Detailed presentations were also given on the achievements of Uzbek youth in information technology, IT, the humanities, foreign language studies, as well as on the rich cultural heritage and history of our country,” said Muhammadali Nosirjonov.
At the end of the event, our compatriots received comprehensive answers to all the questions of interest to them.
