The President of Uzbekistan congratulates the President of Kyrgyzstan on his birthday

During a telephone conversation on December 6, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, congratulated the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health, well-being, and continued prosperity for the brotherly people of Kyrgyzstan.

The practical aspects of deepening the strategic partnership, friendship, and good-neighborliness between Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan were discussed.

With particular satisfaction, the progress achieved in recent years in bilateral cooperation was noted. Contacts at all levels continue. Trade turnover and freight transportation are steadily increasing. Joint projects in priority sectors of the economy are being implemented. Active cultural, humanitarian, and interregional exchanges are underway.

Work is underway on the practical implementation of major strategic projects, including the construction of the Uzbekistan – Kyrgyzstan – China railway and the Kambarata HPP-1.

The leaders also reviewed current issues on the regional agenda.
