On the Meeting with the Ambassador of Switzerland to Uzbekistan

On November 18, deputy minister of foreign affairs of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Madrakhimov met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Switzerland to Uzbekistan Konstantin Obolenskiy.

The meeting discussed current issues and prospects for further development of political dialogue, trade-economic, investment, financial-technical, cultural-humanitarian cooperation, and interaction within international organizations. Plans for joint events for 2026 were considered.

Special attention was given to the practical implementation of joint measures to deepen relations, agreed during the negotiations of the heads of foreign policy departments of the two countries in Bern on 16 October of this year.

Following the meeting, agreements were reached on holding a number of joint events, including inter-ministerial political consultations, the upcoming meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, “Swiss Economy Days in Uzbekistan”, as well as mutual visits of delegations.
