Shahraiz Ashraf Malik: Uzbekistan holds tremendous trade potential for Pakistan and we are excited to expand bilateral cooperation

Shahraiz Ashraf Malik, Chairman of the Business Opportunity Conference and International Achievements Awards - Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce & Industry shared on the significance of the 36th RCCI International Achievement Awards and the Pakistan–Uzbekistan Business Opportunities Conference held in Tashkent.
– I am thrilled to be in Uzbekistan, a country of immense potential and opportunity. We chose to come here because the trade possibilities are extraordinary, and despite being landlocked, Uzbekistan can greatly benefit from access to Pakistan’s ports. Our delegation has brought prominent companies and investors to explore these opportunities, with the goal of significantly increasing bilateral trade.
The governments of both countries have set a target of $2 billion in trade over the next two years. Achieving this will require focused effort and cooperation, and we are encouraged by the unwavering support we have received from our government, from the Uzbek government, and from the ambassador in Pakistan, who welcomed us warmly and praised the initiative taken by the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Our mission is clear: to foster successful and sustainable trade relations. This morning alone, numerous investors and companies finalized MOUs, demonstrating the real commitment on both sides. Events like this underscore the strategic importance of Pakistan - Uzbekistan economic collaboration, and I am confident that our partnership will continue to flourish in the years ahead.
