Uzbekistan-Pakistan business conference opens in Tashkent to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties

Today, Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Conference officially commenced in Tashkent, alongside the International Achievement Awards and Business Opportunities Conference 2025.
The event is being held under the initiative of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad and organized in collaboration with the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), with the active support of Uzbekistan’s governmental and business institutions.
A major Pakistani business delegation, comprising over 150 representatives from leading companies, industry associations, and investment and logistics organizations, has arrived in Tashkent to participate in the forum. Among the attendees are Usman Shavkat, President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Fahad Barlas, Vice President of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), Shahraiz Ashraf Malik, Chairman of RCCI, and other prominent business leaders.
The conference is aimed at expanding trade and economic cooperation, advancing investment projects, and establishing direct business-to-business and business-to-government contacts between Uzbekistan and Pakistan. On the very first day in Tashkent, participants will engage in the Uzbekistan-Pakistan Business Forum, conduct B2B and B2G meetings, and attend presentations highlighting Uzbekistan’s investment and export potential.
The key event of the program will be the International Achievement Awards ceremony, which recognizes companies and entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to the advancement of international business integration and the promotion of joint initiatives.
Following the event, it is planned that memoranda of understanding and cooperation agreements will be signed in the fields of industry, tourism, air transport, IT and digital economy, as well as the capital market. These agreements are expected to facilitate the launch of new joint projects and expand the presence of Uzbek and Pakistani businesses in regional markets.
As a result of preparatory work by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Islamabad, a practical platform for direct interaction between entrepreneurs from both countries has been established, making the conference one of the most significant events in bilateral economic relations.
