Presidents of Uzbekistan and Russia discussed current issues on the bilateral and international agenda by phone

On August 8, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation.
Current issues on the bilateral and international agenda were reviewed.
The President of Russia informed about the main results of the talks with the Special Envoy of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, held on August 6 in Moscow.
Practical aspects of further developing and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia in the context of implementing high-level agreements were also discussed.
Special attention was given to adopting coordinated measures aimed at ensuring growth dynamics in mutual trade and investment indicators, accelerating cooperation projects in priority sectors of the economy, and continuing productive contacts, as well as business and humanitarian exchanges at the regional level.
The leaders of Uzbekistan and Russia also reviewed the schedule of upcoming meetings and events.
