President of Uzbekistan emphasizes the importance of expanding practical cooperation with Georgia

As part of his working visit to Turkmenistan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze.
The expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic, transport, logistics, and cultural and humanitarian spheres was discussed.
The successful implementation of the agreements reached during the visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Uzbekistan in March this year was noted with satisfaction.
Active interagency contacts are ongoing, with meetings held between the heads of foreign affairs ministries and ministers of economy. Trade turnover, freight volumes, and the number of joint projects and enterprises are steadily increasing.
The importance of adopting coordinated measures to boost mutual supplies and promote cooperative projects in agriculture, the textile, electrical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, as well as in logistics, was emphasized.
