President of Uzbekistan notes the importance of further enhancing multifaceted cooperation with Tatarstan

As part of the first day of his stay in Kazan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The issues of further enhancing mutually beneficial multifaceted cooperation between the regions of Uzbekistan and Tatarstan were discussed.

The practical results of industrial cooperation between leading enterprises and active humanitarian exchange in recent years were noted with satisfaction.

An agreement was reached on continuing intensive contacts and mutual visits, expanding the activities of joint economic and industrial zones in Uzbekistan.

During his visit to Kazan, a ceremony was held to award the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the state award of the Republic of Tatarstan – the Order of “Duslyk” (Friendship).

The high award was solemnly presented to the President of Uzbekistan by the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov.

The President of Uzbekistan was awarded for his significant contribution to developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Tatarstan, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples.

The Leader of Uzbekistan, thanking the head of Tatarstan for the award, noted with satisfaction the high results of fruitful cooperation achieved in recent years and expressed his best wishes to the people of Tatarstan.
