The visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan became a new historical milestone in bilateral relations
On April 19, as part of the state visit to Tajikistan, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with the Chairman of Majlisi Namoyandagon of Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda.
During the conversation, the highest level of multifaceted strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan was noted with satisfaction.
Issues of further intensifying inter-parliamentary exchange, influential contacts at the level of relevant committees and regional councils to support and promote cooperation projects, and cultural and humanitarian programs were discussed.
The vital role of the deputies of the two countries in conducting an inventory of adopted documents and exercising parliamentary control over the timely implementation of agreements at the highest level was outlined.

As part of the state visit to Dushanbe, on April 19, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda.
Issues of further enhancing strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan were discussed.
The President of Uzbekistan noted that the historic Treaty on Allied Relations was signed yesterday. In this regard, the importance of the unconditional implementation by the two countries’ governments of all agreements reached at the highest level was emphasized.
It was noted that for these purposes, a joint roadmap and systematic meetings of prime ministers are necessary.
The priority tasks identified are increasing trade turnover, developing cross-border trade and trade infrastructure, and deepening industrial cooperation in automotive, energy, electrical engineering, mining, textile, pharmaceutical, agricultural, and other industries.
It was noted that making full use of the potential of the two countries’ regions and enhancing cultural and humanitarian exchanges are crucial.

As part of the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Tajikistan, the grand opening of the new building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in the city of Dushanbe took place.
The leaders solemnly opened the building of the diplomatic mission of Uzbekistan, cutting a symbolic ribbon. The national anthems of the two countries were played.
The heads of state were familiarized with the conditions for diplomats in the Embassy building.
The Embassy has created all the necessary conditions for the effective organization of work aimed at further developing the multifaceted relations of strategic partnership and alliance between the two states.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Emomali Rahmon left their notes with wishes in the Book of Honored Guests of the Embassy.

As part of his stay in Dushanbe, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, together with President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, visited the industrial exhibition of Uzbekistan, organized at the capital’s Expo Center.
The leaders got acquainted with the national pavilion under the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand, which presented finished and high-tech products from the automotive, electrical engineering, agricultural machinery, and food industries, as well as products from the chemical, textile, pharmaceutical, and other industries.
The heads of state noted the need to enhance cooperation between leading enterprises, mutual exchange of experience, and technology transfer.

Today, Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, the Chairman of the lower house of the Parliament of Tajikistan, and Prime Minister Kohir Rasulzoda.
The heads of state solemnly opened the new building of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Dushanbe, and also got acquainted with the exhibition of industrial goods of Uzbekistan.
President Emomali Rahmon saw off the President of Uzbekistan at Dushanbe International Airport. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev returned to Tashkent.
