The President of Uzbekistan participates in a special event in preparation for the Consultative Meeting of Regional Heads of State

On August 5, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev participated in a special event dedicated to the preparation and organization of the Seventh Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia.
The event was attended by the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers – Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov, as well as members of official delegations and public representatives.
In accordance with the agenda, key aspects related to preparations for the upcoming Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia in Tashkent were discussed.
The President of Uzbekistan provided information about the ongoing collaborative activities within Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in this format. In particular, the Chairmanship Concept and a schedule of joint events were adopted at the beginning of the year.
Meetings have been held involving secretaries of security councils, heads of special services, and ministers responsible for industry, energy, water management, and environmental protection, as well as media and youth forums.
By the end of the year, an inter-parliamentary forum, meetings of defense, trade, and transport ministers, and cultural and humanitarian events are also scheduled.
Conceptual documents for the upcoming meeting are currently being prepared, aiming to establish a new agenda for regional partnership and strengthen its legal framework.
It was emphasized that during the Tashkent Summit, the Uzbek side intends to propose several initiatives aimed at deepening political dialogue, launching new drivers of economic cooperation, and boosting cross-border trade. Key attention will be given to practical collaboration in water and energy management, enhancing transport connectivity, and addressing climate change issues.
The participation of the Azerbaijani delegation in the meetings was noted with satisfaction. Today, the countries of the region maintain fruitful cooperation with Azerbaijan, implementing joint projects in trade, transportation, and green energy.
In conclusion, the President of Uzbekistan expressed confidence that coordinated and harmonized approaches among the Central Asian states would facilitate the achievement of common goals in regional development and prosperity.
