Report presented on the new metro line

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the planned projects for developing the Tashkent Metro system.
The metro holds a special place in the capital’s public transportation network. To enhance passenger convenience, new lines are being constructed. The Yunusabad line has been extended to the Turkiston station, and the Chilanzar line now reaches the Sergeli district. At the initiative of the Head of State, an overground metro line was introduced in Tashkent – a circular line constructed from the Dustlik station to Sergeli. These new routes have connected the Yunusabad, Yashnabad, Mirabad, Sergeli, and Yangihayot districts, significantly improving daily commuting for city residents.
Plans are underway to extend the metro to the Tashkent Tractor Plant residential area. During previous discussions, the President instructed that the project be optimized for cost-efficiency and passenger convenience. According to the prepared proposal, the project will be implemented in two phases. In the first phase, an overground line will be constructed along existing railway tracks from Pushkin station on the Chilanzar line to the Feruza neighborhood in the Mirzo Ulugbek district. In the second phase, the line will be extended to the bus terminal in the TTP (Tashkent Tractor Plant) area.
Approximately 47,000 vehicles carrying a total of 194,000 passengers enter the city center daily from this direction. The new metro line is expected to serve around 85,000 passengers per day.
During the presentation, the technical and practical aspects of the project were reviewed in detail.
